Our Mission at Gino LaRusso Foundation for Suicide Awareness is to get Mental Health Education in our Local Schools. Suicide effects many unfortunately, it does not discriminate.
We are seeing more younger children each year battling this in silence.We need to help educate our community, and END the stigma on Suicide.

This Foundation was created in “2019” by Katrina LaRusso In honor of her little brother Gino LaRusso. Gino passed away in October 2018 by suicide. She is trying to carry out his legacy and fulfill his dream of raising awareness.
As of January 2020 Lackawanna College was the 1st school that the foundation was able to help in funding its very 1st training course called Mental Health 1st Aid which was provided to staff and students at the Scranton Campus. They were also able to advertise resources to the students. A Mental Health First Aider is the go-to person for anyone who is going through some form of mental health issues. The first aider will be able to help guide the person in distress and get them the help they need.
